"My parents were visiting me in Munich and wanted to eat Italian food for dinner. Piccola Italia was close to their hotel, so we gave it a try - and we weren't disappointed. The place itself is rather small, which contributes to its charm, and it is cosily furnished and decorated with much care resulting in a welcoming living room atmosphere. The service was friendly and the food was prepared very fast although the restaurant was packed. We ordered small salads, pizzas, and pasta and everything was delicious. The salads were fresh, the pizzas were made with fresh ingredients (e.g. fresh mushrooms) and baked in a wood-fired oven. Also, the Lambrusco was very tasty (fruity but not too sweet). All in all, a very positive experience!!"

"It is a young family business, where I've been on a monthly or even bi-weekly basis in the last 6 months, and there was no moment of disappointment at all. Excellent food offered not only at the restaurant, but also to take away. The service is excellent as well, provided by a very customer-oriented, authentic Italian family. And in summer time, it is really nice to sit in the garden. Besides a nice selection of wines, they have very tasty Villacher beer, which you don't easily get at this part of Austria. Last but not least, the food and drinks are not overpriced."

"Whilst I have no complaints about the food; both our pasta dishes and the garlic bread were very tasty, the service whilst friendly was very poor. We repeatedly had to ask for our wine, I asked for an addition to my dish which I didn't get and was stll charged for even though I told them - they said that they'd added it to my husbands dish instead - they hadn't but so what this is not what was asked for. Finally i asked for chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla which they said was not a problem but of course I didnt get. Wouldn't go back again when there are a number of better restaurants in Hall"
