"Rating: 4.8 Stars This was my first trip to Il Bel Lago, and I really enjoyed it. I ordered the Lasagna, and it was absolutely fantastic. The sauce was sweet, and meat had great flavor and was not too salty. The cheese was tasty, and the basil added a lot of flavor. Additionally, the flat pasta was superbly cooked. The components of this Lasagna complimented each other perfectly. Lastly, I absolutely loved the generous portion. I also had two glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon, and it was good. I was here to give a lecture, and I had to wait to eat my meal. They kindly delayed brining my order out until after the talk, which was greatly appreciated. The waiter was very attentive. I look forward to coming back here with a date (if I can find one)."

"Finding good food in St. Louis isn’t always easy but this restaurant has nailed it. The menu is limited but the food is fantastic. Pros: Delicious appetizers, amazing pastas, well priced food, vegetarian options, warm and friendly staff, free onsite parking and well located in the Loop area. Cons: I would prefer a thicker saucier pizza (personal preference). Overall everyone was happy and we can’t wait to go back!"
