"Always a special spot for me. I make it the top of my list for any special occasion dinners. Typically the wait, if any, is very reasonable to get a table. No reservations. Upon walking in, the atmosphere is comforting and comfortable. Every visit I have felt that the service is warm, approachable and attentive. The food tastes fresh and there is special attention given to each ingredient! I find it hard NOT to order the fish special. I have had the whole grilled branzini a number of times. I appreciate the simplicity of the preparation, expert grilling with the perfect amount of salt and a nice crisp skin. I can't put my finger on why, but the grilled vegetables served with the fish are outstanding- bursting with flavor and just the right amount of crunch. My partner has always been pleased with every pasta dish he has ordered- he loves them so much sometimes it's hard for me to get a taste! Lastly, the tiramisu here is heavenly. Creamy, flavorful, textured... the perfect way to end a meal (if you have room!"

"We were looking for a place to eat during January off season in Stresa.We were welcomed by a mother like lady which was not speaking English.Her husband, I guess, explainded us what they had for dinner in a very welcoming way.I chose one of the dishes which appeared appealing and fish.Being located by the lake we were not even imagined the fish was one year old frozen. The wine was good, but the food less then poor.I would not recommend and I strongly suggest the owners to change the menu according with the season and serve fresh food."

"Pasta and appetizers were really delicious, pizza only so lala. service unfortunately not acceptable, compelled ease, no attention. pasta came without spoons, sat on the dry, no ask for further drinks or bill. the waiter was impossible to call. had to rise three times in the evening and appeal to him to be noticed"

"My order was unfortunately not as selected on the map. we had ordered pizza bread with fresh tomatoes, there was a bare pizza bread with some salt and rosmarin. from tomatoes no trace._The rest was ok, but also not outstanding. I don't order anything."
