"However trees have grown to heights that immediate surrounding like the center of the city of Aachen is obscured by branches. The view is great on a beautiful day. Nice walking paths in the Belvedere area. Only open on Sundays though. The restaurant is nice but don't expect the great German Kuchenbuffet - pretty simple petit fours, local fruit pie and brownies were offered during our visit. The restaurant is evolving every 20-30 minutes or so. Initially pretty weird once you step out of the stairway or elevator. No admission."

"Seitdem Herr Kerff das AT übernommen hat - und das ist schon eine Weile her - kommen wir immer wieder gerne. Die Karte ist klein, aber liebevoll gestaltet und wird ebenso frisch zubereitet wie die wechselnden Tagesangebote.Wenn man einmal in die Küche geschaut hat (z.B. um sich z.B. wie gestern nach einem leckeren Mahl zu bedanken) wird klar, dass frische Zubereitung und begrenzte Küchenkapazität teilweise zu Wartezeiten führen muss - dies ist uns aber lieber als 10 Minuten-Pling-fertig Küche.Wenn man übrigens mit einer Gruppe dort ist (dann gibt es eine reduzierte Karte) bzw. vorab mitteilt, dass man mit der Zeit ein wenig knapp ist klappt das ganz wunderbar.Zu unserem letzten Besuch:Vorspeise: "kleine" selbstgemachte Pasta 6,40 (Spinat, Pinienkerne) und Kaninchenterrine (12,80) - beides lecker, die Pastete ganz frisch - ein Traum. Besonders gut die in Honig karamellisierten Spinatblätter.Hauptgang: Lammfilet im Teigmantel (21,50) und Kalbsfiletbraten von der Tageskarte (25,50). Beides auf den Punkt gebraten - und wie sich das gehört, dass noch ein winziger Tropfen Blut aus dem rosa gebratenen Fleisch austritt. Insbesondere beim Teigmantel keine ganz einfache Übung. Die "Speck"-Soße zum Kalb war klasse - die Aromen wundervoll eingebunden so dass der Speck nicht dominierteDer Service war sehr gut - Dominik hatte das voll im Griff. Besonders nett die Weinempfehlung. Als wir beim weißen Neuseeländer aufgrund eigener Erfahrungen etwas zögerlich waren, servierte er einfach einen (für zwei reichenden) großzügigen Probierschluck - worauf der Wein für den Abend (0,75, 27,50). feststand.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung - mit einem hochwertigen Spezialbier als Aperitif (6,50, reicht für zwei ;-) waren wir mit knapp 100 € dabei - das war es aber wert.Das Ambiente ist schön, man hat etwas Abstand zum Nebentisch und dank der L- form des Gastraumes ist auch bei vollem Haus der Geräuschpegel erträglich.Haben wir gar nichts zu kritisieren? - eigentlich nicht - vielleicht hätte es beim Lamm ein wenig mehr Fleisch sein dürfen :-) - es war einfach zu lecker. Am Ende plauderten wir noch nett - es war spät geworden - mit dem Inhaber und durften - man ist seit vielen Jahren Ausbildungsbetrieb - die neue Kreation von Chef und Azubi in Sachen Kaninchenterrine (verfeinert mit Geflügelleber, lecker!!) probieren.Ein netter Abend, ein schöner Abend - wir kommen wieder."

"I waited hour for the worst pizza I have ever had. Ham of week ago, I got a tremendous stomachache all night! Terrible service as well. The waitress forgot to give my order to the chef. After asking her info about the meal,...I finally got it. Then the chef came angry because the waitress told him I complained! Instead, I just kindly asked to have information about my meal, but the waitress told the chef a totally different story. After the chef talked to me and realized the truth, he went to the waitress and screamed at her about her behavior! All that was very embarrassing!!! At the end, I have asked for the bill euros for pizza and fanta) twice, to have it after minutes full price, not even a small discount for the terrible evening. Stay away from this place!"

"Situated in a lovely little square close to the cathedral, I chose to eat here as the atmosphere was inviting and it stood out compared to surrounding restaurants.Service was good, the waiter was very patient and helpful, and the food... "Our favourite place in central Aachen for a great evening of high quality dining and if we are looking for sth more formal. Interesting, diverse menu, good wines and fiendly service. Love the Thursday "Probe" sessions where the chef surprises you with small portions of everything on the menu for a very reasonable price."
