"So disappointed to see the large image of a woman with her mouth open wide in a shock/disbelief expression hanging above the urinal in the mens toilet. I was completely unaware of this as the decor throughout the restaurant and in womens bathroom is neutral colours and provokes a much classy environment. I have used function room and suggested Oscar’s as a place for family and friends to meet. Not knowing that young children in my social groups were using this bathroom with this suggestive image. Disgusting to see this tacky, sexist, demeaning image and to hear staff adamant on keeping it there. Photo included"

"I come here to the pokies every now and then, and this bistro is always busy, so I decided to try dinner here one night. This is one of those places where you pay before you eat. I wasn't that hungry so decided to try the soup of the day. Meal came out less then 5 minutes after I ordered and came out barley luke warm. The soup was the worst kind I had ever had. I wouldn't be surprised if it came out of a Coles home-brand tin, because that's what It tasted like. Best thing was the bread on the side. No flavor and no seasoning. Staff very friendly and price was cheap. I definitely won't be eating here again."

"We have been here many times before both take away and dine in. I ordered the Banana and Date bread from the menu. It was meant to be served with honey- no honey present, so I asked for some (no big deal). What I ate...however, was crumbly, dry and was nothing like the menu detailed. Instead, I believed it to be a type of raspberry loaf. There was not one date in sight in this dish. Admittedly, I could’ve sent it back but we were told we had to be gone within 45 minutes, so I didn’t want to take up anymore time. It was quite unsuspecting because I have generally found the quality here to be good. Today’s experience was not so good, unfortunately."

"When I entered the doors of this establishment, with my boys in tow, I knew I was in for a good night when my eyes were cast upon the DJ to my right and the multitude of televisions all playing sport on them. I said to the boys, 'we're on here lads', and so we were. One gentleman, who will remain unnamed, enjoyed a successful 'punt' on the 'doggies' and thus shouted one of the other gentleman a cold beverage, much to the delight of the young man behind the bar - good show! The drinks were cold, the culture was warm, fun was had and the 'doggies' ran quickly - what a night! Staff and customer culture is unparalleled anywhere in the infamous 'Rat. I entered feeling rather famished and somewhat thirsty, but left with a warm feeling in my stomach that wasn't only to do with the good food, but the good, warm and hearty culture. What a night, what an establishment, and of course, what culture!"
