"The Boathouse is our favourite place to eat. Everything about our visit was amazing. We did the five course tasting menu with wine pairing and it was fantastic. Jonathan has an extensive knowledge of the wines and his descriptions make them all the more enjoyable. Service was outstanding from him and Louis. The food is beautifully presented and mainly locally sourced. Every course was delicious. Also we felt very safe as there were many precautions taken to ensure everything was sanitised. I can’t recommend The Boathouse enough, it has never been anything less than perfect for us"

"Really nice bar nicely located two minutes from the sea in ballyholme. good staff and eating were excellent. a main course is quite sufficient for most hungry people I would suggest. beautiful friendly atmosphere in public bar, which seems very satisfied regular. many tvs for sport."

"Vibrant flavoursome food by the sea. The Jamaica Inn is located a 10 minute walk along the coast from Bangor Marina and is close to Ballyholme beach. There is on street parking close to the restaurant. Tables can be reserved for inside dining but the 16 outdoor tables are available on a first come first served basis. The outside area is dog friendly. There are fantastic views from the seated area over Belfast Lough. When we arrived; although there were at least two tables available we were not greeted or seated for almost 10 minutes. We seen 5 different waiting staff before one came to speak with us. Once inside the service was efficient and friendly. There is a wide menu catering for all types of tastes although we had expected a few more Caribbean inspired dishes. The Jamaica Inn menu is available on their website. The food is top quality, the portions sufficient for even the very hungry diner and the prices very reasonable. This was our first visit and we will definitely return if we are staying in the area again."

"Eating was amazing. that's the first time we came here and would definitely go back. the starter we had was so beautiful a board of mixed cured meat, brot, mozzarella and garlic bread. I can't blame. as for the main meal error-free, my son absolutely loved his meal. the staff was very friendly and friendly service was responsible. it was very busy so I pleasantly surprised how fast we were served. highly recommended and will definitely go back."

"I had a birthday dinner here on a weekday. I contacted them in advance and they were very committed to giving us a little more social distancing, which was very appreciated. there are some vegan options and we enjoyed everything we tried. I had a fungus starter and nabeby had two tastes a cockerbsen bowl and a huge cousin bowl. we both had stroganoff for all. we shared a little bit and a chocolate pudding. everything was delicious. they even have a vegan wine list, but unfortunately only full bottles. no quarter bottles or wine on the glass. I hope to return here and would definitely recommend. the waitress wouldn't have tried harder to please. they are proud of the nutritional requirements. they have the top hygiene rating. they try to get the permission for a couple of outdoor tables in the garden and have two planters with heating and protection."
