"Tramontana is a little out of the way, within walking distance of the city mall, located in the residential building called Evolution. The atmosphere is fine dining. The chef superb. The menu is small, but the quality if fantastic. Try the calamari which is young, sweet and perfect every time. Seafood is the way to go when dining here, but you can also indulge with escargot, veal escalopes or a pretty decent steak. I have never been here when the restaurant is full. And there is ample space between tables. So there is always a feeling that you are special, and welcomed without being rushed or harried. For the uninitiated, the toilets with their auto shading glass are an experience, that some find intimidating, but most find fun. the wine list is very good (if a tad expensive), but the service staff are exceptional. A must do in Darwin."
