"This restaurant was a recommendation by the hotel owner as I asked for a good fish restaurant. I wasn’t disappointed from the quality and freshness of the fish (they have their own fisher boat apparently). However, their service with 3 waiter left much to wish for. They seemed to be uncoordinated and went empty handed many one ways (a no-no in hospitality business). Even getting the menu (which was just a printed card with a QR code) was taking 19 minutes. How about printing more of them or putting them on little wooden cubes like other restaurants have done? Prices were ok for the quality of the fish though."

"All the out of reviews are right. This place is authentically Italian and has an extensive menu of local specialties and pizzas. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. We tried the Casadinas, the Culurgiones (Sardinian-style ravioli) and split the locally caught fish...of the day, Spigola (sea bass) which was served in a divine white wine sauce. The restaurant is up the road from Cala Gonone proper about and worth a visit. Prices are lower than the restaurants along the promenade and portions are large."

"We enjoyed the last dinner of our vacation here, and like the other positive reviews already say, it’s worth a visit. Our waiter (who based on their logo is also the owner) was relaxed, friendly, and took time to explain the local ingredients we were unfamiliar with. We had spaghetti carbonara (to share) and two pizzas. They also have a great selection of craft beer and an extensive gin menu. They mixed us two Negroni and they were not effin’ around delicious and strong! The place was full of regular Italian guests, too, who were greeted by name as they came in. If you’re looking for great gastropub food in Cala Gonone, this is the place!"

"We ate dinner at DuePi 4 times, it was our favorite and most frequented restaurant in Cala Gonone. Nice ambiance in the courtyard with mature olive trees overhead. The food was good, we preferred the pastas and seafood to the pizzas. The staff was friendly and happily accommodated my wife's food allergies. Pricing was very reasonable for quality. Don't forget to try to complimentary mirto!"
