"Visited for dinner and the food was excellent. Service was attentive without being intrusive as well as prompt and polite. Starters were a good size and fresh. Steak and ale pie was excellent- lovely pastry filled with large pieces of steak in a rich gravy....Belly pork was excellent-tender and juicy. Both mains were hot- I hate luke warm food. Veg was fresh and well presented. No room for dessert. Will definitely be back."

"Howden vintage wochenende, so went for a toby round with the G dogs, only wander the back streets and found bishops advertising dog friendly (always a victor with us) in had a flush the hand pulled and mrs t had a goat cheese...Chiabata and I had the sausage wobbles chiabata. quite healthy. must be remembered by the hunderiffe, skin and bone dogs that are not sharp on stone floors. will be back!"
