"In the vitoria stone hotel to stay in the fascinating Unesco-Heritage city evora, we were so happy to feed to the 5 amendoas. from the moment we arrived (which was a little late), we were greeted by others, the powerful and knowledgeable maitre d', who supported the wine-selections and shared the concepts behind the menu: authentic regional products that were brought to the table with innovative gifts and a real ecclesiastical flair. erlindo, our friendly waiter, helped us identify Portuguese understood and products. from the inviting alcohol-free lemon cocktail, to a juicy brazilized pork starter, followed by a tasteful chestnut and mushroom risotto, this was one of our favorite food in portugal. if I lived in evora, I would make it a regular culinary experience. but as a visitor it would lure me back to evora, the vitoria stone hotel (that is beautiful) and the 5 amendoas."

"Great Italian restaurant about 10-15 minutes walk from the town centre. Food was excellent with some interesting varieties of pizza, Good souo to start with which had dried pork pieces added. Service was very helpful and made good wine recommendations. Would definitely go back here."
