"Went to have dinner when every other restaurant in Exeter was packed. We tried this place before but they waiters were very pretentious and didn’t t help at all….but because Monet had no room we decided to give this place another chance. We walked up the restaurant at 7:45. The sign said they closed at 8:30. The waiter told us the kitchen was closed even thought they were just bringing dinner out to some people we know. Said they were slow so we’re closing up early. Sorry we will never be back to experience you. Guess there is a reason every other place in Exeter is packed and you had no customers. Really irritating."

"Blue Moon has turned into Grab Go, no longer a sitting restaurant, although you can eat your selection at one of the indoor tables. Still great Veg food options, but more limited than when it was a full-fledged restaurant. Updated by previous review on 2021-09-18"

"We were looking for a cozy, quaint place in Exeter to go on a rare date and have some time away alone. We like unhyped, hole in the wall type restaurants, and if that 's what you look for as well, I recommend it. It 's a super simple storefront right in downtown, and it is indeed a small rustic dining room and bar (shouldn 't be a surprise as the original building is probably 200+ years old? , so if you 're looking for a glitzy, showy high end place, this is not it. The owner Jeff is the host and is very friendly, going out of his way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The waitress we had was super friendly as well, very easy going, and pleasant. The food we had was great (steak tips with risotto . The only con I can think of is that the Caesar dressing we had was SOOO strong with garlic and seasoning. Like, very strong. So maybe get a different dressing for your salad if you want to keep your breath somewhat tolerable for the next several hours, ha ha. I like to give the benefit of the doubt, so we chalked it up to it maybe not being made right that night? It wasn 't a big deal to be honest and did not outweigh everything else that was right about the experience. The location is perfect, right by the river, and a couple doors down from a great ice cream shop that was also excellent. Thank you Jeff Co!"
