"Sunday lunch: small, intimate with comfortable chairs and lovely ambiance. There were three of us and we all had something different so we could have a little tasting session. There was an excellent menu, not extensive but well chosen. The wine list was also good, drawing in local wines as well as the more robust reds from other departments. Lamb from Sisteron with a hint of thyme in a sauce that was so subtle and delicious, the meat melted in your mouth [served with pot]; Asparagas risotto, pale green obviously cooked in real stock with a hint of lemon, another of broad beans, parmesan and with parmesan shavings on top - beautiful decorated too with tiny triangles of beetroot/tomatoes. Forgot to mention a plate of fresh tiny asparagus with the most amazing Hollandaise I've ever had. The beef: a well-hung piece of beef that was cooked to perfection served with home made frites and a salad. PierreVert wine was perfect, the house vin rouge sublime and the cafe/gourmand the most perfect finish to a fabulous meal. Unpretentious, charming and a happy experience by all."
