"My boyfriend and I were having a delicious dinner in a beautiful location and we were served by an even better waitress. The food was amazing everything comes as small dishes, so you can share and taste all kind of different foods. Excellent!!"

"Visited this restaurant on Friday the 13th. December with friends from Ceylon. As a restaurant that has been known to me for several years, I was sure that the quality of the food and service we will receive. We were six people and all decided to have pizza and pasta. And also ordered an excellent bottle of Italian wine, which went very well with the food. Quality, taste, presentation and service were beyond expectations. Very attentive staff and very pleasant. We all had a great evening with a lot of humor. Mercato is an excellent restaurant, cheap and definitely worth a visit if you happen to stay nearby. Thanks again. "Had a lunch on July 12 th with my family during summer vaccination. Stating to finish service quality was worse, server, staff were keep yelling , talking in front of the customers dining tables. Treating customers with bad manners who went for dine in. Telling us that you are tourists and won’t come back that’s why we have this impolite behaviour! As usual in big tourist places food was tasteless, and super expensive. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Rates given looks purchased and not real."

"On Tuesday night there was a family dinner. the place is in a somewhat strange opposite, seems only native know about it, but it is worth checking. eating was great, simple and traditional (not trendy). very cheap. we had black carving with late zle and mushrooms and kalbs with Swiss “Hash Browns”. everything was delicious. the personal is also friendly and nice. it is also carried out by the basis for people with impediments (pigna), which offers housing and employment. So, to eat in the round there, they help a good thing."

"Since many year, this restaurant is kind of a landmark of the region and it went through its share of changes over time. I do know the place since the early eighties. Recently my wife and I decided to enjoy an early summer evening in the garden of the Geerlisburg, having a light dinner and a nice bottle of wine. The place looks still the same as it did some 30 years ago and the view on a clear spring day towards the Swiss Alps is still marvelous. But this comes at a price: we were utterly amazed to find out that a simple local dish like geschnetzeltes roesti would set us back some 42 Swiss Francs! The prices for most of the other items on the menu were in the same region. I mean: this is a simple garden restaurant, not a posh venue somewhere in the middle of Zuerich! Not surprisingly, the prices on the winelist could happily compete with the ones on the menu. Well, we bit the bullet and each of us ordered one of the Asparagus dishes, telling ourselves that the high price would be justified by the vista. This of course only works on a fine day with clear skies... Oh by the way: the food was nice!"
