"During my two weeks in Mainz, I have tried numerous restaurants and Zum Goldstein was amongst my top choices for those what concerned German-style cuisine. I was there with a few colleagues and we managed to have seats outside (it was summer time), in a lovely patio. We tried numerous options from the menu, including appetizers and various species of mains courses (both non-vegetarian and vegetarian choices). All meals were perfectly cooked, delicious and generous. The service was excellent and the price, whilst a bit on the high side, is definitely OK. To finish, I would like to emphasize an important detail: consider booking a table, as the restaurant is often crowded (we tried to go there twice without booking any table, and there was no space for us). Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant for a great German cuisine experience."

"I went there with my cousins for a Friday dinner. It was my first time in this franchising brand and we got Pizza, a very big one which you can get 2 sides with different ingredients. The Pizza is thin, tasty and surprisingly not heavy at all. For the price you pay you get enough quantity of food but the taste should be a little bit better. Satisfied in the end. Very good service, and excellent welcoming place."

"I was very spontaneous, quite full there, but the really nice lady who takes care of more about the arriving guests gave me a table in no time. the personal is consistently very friendly, open and professional. all despise, they rarely experience it! my waiter was a blond young man, sort sunnyboy, but something of competent and cunning, he knew everything that was offered on the map, and was also a competent advisor with the weeps. I've eaten a planner I've never had. the kitchen also knows what she does. also great presentation. also my steak was of best quality and perfectly fried. all in a very successful evening. it makes really fun to watch the crew. I was certainly not the last time, especially as it can wait a bar with countless gin varieties and many thanks again to my waiter! thicker lobster and until the next time."
