"Ford with friends visited. Eating was amazing, mushroom chips with blue cheese sauce were an amazing new experience. Squid and squid were delicious and the lamb was boiled to perfection. sticky date pudding with extra toffee sauce was to die for and the beautiful young lady who served us was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. great value for money overall was comfortable and welcoming."

"They are antivaxers in cladding. huge disappointment after almost months it hard in locks in auckland with my vegan children and hubby. road trip and this cafe were among the most important reasons to drive to nelson. great food. long was happy to come here. but the workers claim to serve “medical mask releases” and “take only” while still in the back. at least they come out and post their anti-science friends. They don't try to have both of them. Of course, the good did not taste well when we realized that it was forced to disregard public health measures in the time of covidence. kia kaha, fellow nz vegan and science believing. Give him a tough fit. so disappointing."

"Great place on the sea. always tasty eating, favorite are the pork bell and the plate for 2 . If you like seafood, there are many delicious seafood dishes on the menu. if they like pizza, many delicious pizzas that are boiled to perfection great kokos mojitos have to try another if they have not been."

"Braving the storm, I decided to take my parents out for lunch as they were on holiday with us and the rubbish weather reduced our options for entertainment. We were looking for something to warm us up, something tasty and somewhere interesting, and all being seafood fans, we decided on The Anchor. While the venue was busy, we were quickly seated and immediately asked if we wanted coffee Great start! The coffee came and was nice, and got our gears moving ready to order our lunch! I ordered the Salmon Nicoise Salad, as I had been feeling a little chubby with all of the eating and sharing I've have been doing! The salmon was served cold, a smoked fillet, whiskey cured, sitting on a bed of fresh salad with potatoes and a poached egg. I really enjoyed this dish, and was surprised at the freshness and quantity of the salad given the season and current cost of lettuce! My wife had the chowder, as she often does, and this was well received and warmed her up on this cold, wet day. My mother had the prawn risotto, and while it wasn't something she would normally order, she enjoyed it. Dad ordered the duck parfait, and this was very tasty although he was eyeing up mum's risotto and helped her finish it! The restaurant is a great place to visit, you can sit and watch the boats come and go. I have often visited on a nice sunny day and sat with a cold beer and watched the boats. A very relaxing undertaking! This day was very wet, but the restaurant was warm and dry, a great way to spend the afternoon!"

"We came in on a busy night, we were warmly greeted by the owner. The starters were simple and delicious. I had the fish which was beautifully prepared my partner had the steak which had a great sear on it. Wonderful experience all around. 10/10 would come again."
