"Our server was very professional and eating amazing. it was our first restaurant experience after two years during the lockdown and we loved the eating / profit suggestions and even the owners took the time to visit our tables. we go back this week and every week until we try a few more elements on the menu. with crying!"

"After watching a movie we wandered around looking for somewhere to eat in the Glebe part of Ottawa, a friendly and slightly scruffy bohemian part of town, rather like Hampstead was in London before the prices rocketed. Von's had a table and we very much enjoyed our meal. There was just one waiter on duty for a pretty full establishment but he zipped around with remarkable speed and friendliness. My wife and I both had the catch of the day, a mix of shrimp and fish and mussels, and it was excellent. The rather watery lemon mousse for dessert didn't impress but overall we had a great meal and we will be back."

"Great food, drinks and service! All the staff were great and very attentive! Really appreciated how the owner came up to our table (and went to everyone's table) and made sure we were enjoying everything! Meal was to DIE for! The gnocci is unbelievable!"

"Very attentive service, they were on top of all the orders! This place is great for large reservations and also intimate dining. The appetizers were very quick, but there was a small wait for the main course. Everyone was very happy with their meals. As mentioned in other reviews, the main courses could be plated nicer, but that's something that doesn't bother me personally."

"Great service and fantastic fish and chips, the best I've had in years. Light tasty batter. Will definitely be going back. Oh and the chips were great too and a sizeable portion I got a buttered bun to make a chip butty it was lovely."
