"Overall it was as good, however the seafood risotto was a mush of rice containing only 2 prawns, two small mussels and one piece of squid about the size of a 10p coin. Very disappointing, whereas the Tuna steak was excellent!"

"The afternoon tea was nice, I had a glass of prosecco and charged the same as if I was having a class of champagne!! The food was nice but there was not enough jam or cream for two people and the jams were stuck together there was only one scone each, anywhere else serves two or the scone is a large one. Staff were lovely thank you"

"Very disappointed on our arrival to a building site and no comfy bar area as website stated! Having to use only 1 room the restaurant for drinks which had no atmosphere. Also finding out online on your website we had payed same for B&B as people had paid for dinner B&B booked through you previously!"

"An idyllic country pub only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. However the ideal is to pair the visit with a from wolvecote walking down port meadow and entering via a magical pathway from the river. We really enjoyed our food but only wished my main came with some carbs. If you are visiting internationally make this a stop for dinner while you visit."

"This has got to be one of my favourite restaurants in Oxford. The food is always beautiful and staff are always so friendly. We don't live in Oxford but everytime we visit we always try and eat here! The menu has great choice and plenty too chose from whatever you fancy. We got the Tartiflette and Chicken Liver Pate as starters and both were delicious. The Tartiflette was a creamy baked potato dish topped with cheese and herbs and served with bread, a lovely starter. The pate was also lovely and had a great texture and was full of flavour. For mains the duck was the stand out dish crispy skin on the outside and soft tender meat in the middle. Lots of meat on the bone too. The bean cassoulet underneath was amazing, so flavoursome and the chorizo really complemented the duck and the herby taste from the beans. Also ordered the fillet steak and a side of truffle mash. Best mash I've had! Creamy and smooth but the truffle taste isn't overpowering. Wine list could be a little better but managed to find a lovely high rated wine named Lucali Appasimento. Definitely recommend to red wine drinkers. Fantastic meal overall as always and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice French restaurant in the Oxford area. Looking forward to my next visit!"
