"I surprised my sister for her 50th with an afternoon tea at this lovely hotel/restaurant as a relaxed end to a birthday week. And it was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds, the service the food were all perfect. And I was very impressed with the Covid precautions that the hotel were taking, so we felt safe to enjoy our delicious cakes. Thoroughly recommended!"

"Well, I didn't think this pub could get worse than it was before the new team. It did. I will not get bored with the bad sides as the other last reviews already have. Oh, there is definitely one thing that got worse, the staff!, Curt, inconspicuous,...sometimes at the cache in the corner while you wait unattended at the bar. And God knows who the manager is. I won't go again, and before people say that there are problems with employees, go to the Amhurst Inn, or any other decent pub. I tried to be a customer, but abandoned."

"Absolutely delicious. We love this quaint little pub in Chipstead. The food is always fabulous and the team are always smiley, happy and ready to help. We’ve just finished our Sunday roasts, which is a rarity for me as I normally work on Sundays. But there’s nowhere better for Sunday lunch. Thank you team G+D"

"Some friends and I came to dinner after the work and had an incredible time, thanks to salvo he gave fab recommendations and let us laugh through (he brought water in my eyes with how funny he was we made sure...Mension to the manager as amazing he was but wanted to leave a review please ask us our thanks!"

"My husband, daughter I went in to get lunch on a Saturday when it was not very busy. The staff behind the counter were so busy joking messing about with each other that they didn't here my order and then dropped the food...on the floor. We took our drinks to our table to await our food. When it came it was barely warm one item was not what we had ordered. Not a great experience all in all."

"The friendly staff are chatty and veru welcoming. Perfect village pub. Would recommend booking for food as it is quite small. I ordered the squid, duck and ice cream and loved every bit of the meal. We will definitely be back again soon!"

"The food is absolutely AMAZING, this is now one of my favourite restaurants. Staff was very friendly and approachable, the wait for the food is not long. The atmosphere is very relaxed, cosy and vibrant. I am writing this review in the car on the way back from the White Hart and I already cannot wait to be back"
