"Zum Scheele served me the best lamb I have ever tasted, the place itself is an intrigueing historical building, the service was friendly enough (although a wee bit slow) and the overall experience was good. I would like to give Zum Scheele four stars. However the tomato butter served with the bread was rancid. It smelled like old cheese, and the four of us agreed it wasn't fresh. We sent it to rhe kitchen, but they claimed it was freshly made. I say: no way. Stuff like that happens, and rancid butter however unpleasant isn't really bad for you. They could have just apologized, brought us fresh butter and let us have the drinks for free and the whole thing would be done with. They would have a whole other review and four stars."

"That was worth his money and worthy of the star. only the waiter was a little bit to try and a little bit weakened in the stretch. it was our 2nd start to book there. at the first time we were told at the hotel reception that there was no more table free what we found a little strange in the week. So just go down with the chair and watch yourself. we now know where it is. not easy to find in the cellar."

"Restauranten er en del af Arcona Baltic Hotel, og vores besøg var egentlig en del af et pakkeophold, som vi havde booket, men vi var glade for at se, at stedet også tiltrækker gæster, der ikke bor på hotellet.Maden var god og veltillavet, i portioner, der efter vores opfattelse er passende, det vil sige ikke overfyldte tallerkener, men i en størrelse der er en fornøjelse både for øjet og maven.I vores pakke indgik 2-retters menuer, der bød på valgmuligheder mellem suppe eller salat til forret og kød- eller fiskeret til hovedret. Menuens fine beskrivelse dækker reelt over enkle, klassiske retter i let opdateret udgave, men meget velsmagende.Vinudvalget er fint. Priser OK (iflg. kortet prissat efter devisen indkøbspris proppenge EUR 20)Betjeningen venlig, smilende og hjælpsom - måske lidt uopmærksom, som aftenen skred frem.Indretningen moderne, inddelt i mindre afdelinger, så støjniveauet var rimeligt, selvom vi delte lokale med et større selskab.Prisniveau i mellemklasse. Kreditkort modtages. Restauranten var fyldt både mandag og tirsdag, så bordbestilling tilrådes."
