"I came here for my birthday/ anniversary lunch with my partner last week. The service was out of this world hence the 4 stars) but the food was not so great unfortunately. I have had much better quality food in 2 rosette restaurants elsewhere outside of London. To be honest, I actually left feeling a bit sick. The food was edible, however wasn't up to scratch for an ex michelin star. The starter was lovely, and as the courses went on it generally got worse. The profitarole at the end as a birthday/anniversary gift was lovely though which wasn't on the menu). However the Rubarb sofflé, was the worst course out of the lot. The food was fresh and good value for 4 courses but I wouldn't go here again. The way it was all cooked was the reason. I can see why they lost a michelin star sorry to say it). They need to change their menu a little and have something a bit more up to date/tasting better. The menu is a bit old fashioned. The Mars cocktail wasn't great either. Definatly not to my taste. However, on to the positive part... The reason for the 4 stars is definatly the service. We couldn't fault it. The staff were lovely!! It's just a shame about the food."
