"Nice pub! Nice staff. Beautiful surroundings. Hot, delicious and fresh food. In the garden are pods that are private and remote. Very nice for a group of 4 to 12 ish. Heating lamps in everyone to keep warm and boy! Do it! Very nice experience! Great job guys!"

"Wow…where to start! The food was incredible every single item we ordered was delicious. You know it’s good when your whole table goes quiet when the food comes. We had seafood, steak, various starters and of course dessert (highly recommend the bread and butter pudding). The wine selection was also very good. The service! Every single staff member was warm, attentive and super accommodating. The venue lovely ambience, perfect for families, couples, groups of friends everyone was clearly enjoying themselves. We are already planning our next visit. If you’re staying at the Hanbury manor hotel/spa it’s a lovely little walk (10 mins). Don’t miss it! Thank you Maltons team"

"Booked a table for four, two adults/two kids, for Sunday lunch. It was quite busy when we arrived and to, ‘check in’ we had to queue at the bar to be seated at our table. My Wife and I ordered the Beef Sunday Roast and my kids chose a Cheeseburger and Chicken Goujon meal from the the, ‘Little People’ menu. The kids are fussy eaters so when ordering we asked if the peas that came with the Chicken Goujon meal could be substituted for beans and stated that the burger had to be plain with no cheese or sauces. The waitress took our order and then came back a few minutes later to advise us that they couldn’t substitute the peas for beans and that, in her words, it was peas or nothing, so we opted for no peas. The food arrived quite quickly but instead of a Cheeseburger meal from the kids menu it was a Cheeseburger meal, dripping in cheese and sauces, from the adult menu which was promptly sent back. The Sunday Roasts were quite generous in size, and tasted very nice, but the portion sizes of the kids meals, served on small side plates, were very poor value for money the replacement meal, when it eventually arrived, was just a mini burger, literally two bites and it was gone. Both meals were the size of something only a toddler would eat. At no point were we offered any condiments with our meal nor asked if wanted any more drinks, we had to go back to the bar in order to get them. At the end of our meal we had to go and ask for the desert menu and by this point the pub had emptied from the earlier diners so being busy wasn’t an excuse for their poor service. The desert menu had no kids options so we had to order two adult deserts, which cost almost as much as their meals. All in all it was a very disappointing experience and we won’t be going back."
