"In absence of any other nice restaurants nearby thi is a go to place for JIPMERites like me. Divided into an upstairs restaurant called Space Bar and a take out cum small eatery downstairs. Has lots of cuisines to offer and most of them taste just fine. The patiala chicken is what I recommend with kulcha or naan."

"You definitely will love the ambience of the rooftop balcony seating with ambient lighting and the view of white town as you sip your cocktails . The food portion is kinda small for my taste but tastes good. The cocktails were good . I really liked the Pina Colada there."

"A busy restaurant particularly during weekend,but I really like briyani served there as it is neither too spicy nor bland but tasted well. We also had butter chicken,mutton chukka,grilled chicken, grape juice.mutton chukka was very spicy. The grilled chicken is very excellent. And special mention to grape juice over there..except for crowded environment everything is fine.????"

"Don Giovanni was the first restaurant I visited after moving to Pondicherry almost a year ago. While this review comes a bit late, both my first visit and a recent one mirrored each other, compelling me to write this.<br>
What I like about the place is it's rooftop seating. It gives you a lovely view of the town, sometimes interrupted by ugly buildings.<br>
Once you clamber into that no-good elevator upstairs, you enter the simple dining area, and you are immediately greeted by the French proprietor, a jolly guy. The waiters there are mainly North Indian fellows, who didn't quite understand what we needed until we switched to Hindi, the first time I visited.<br>
We were a group of 8, with limited time at hand. So we ordered immediately in hopes of faster service. But that was not the case. The food took a long long time to come. The food overall was decent. I'm a vegetarian, with not many options. I chose the gnocchi only to be disappointed. But the other dishes were quite nice, especially the pasta with the bacon.<br>
My biggest complaint was the tiramisu. It was the worst piece of cake I had ever had in any place. The place is definitely pricy, but overall, if the dishes are carefully chosen, it's a decent, happy meal."

"This place has a perfect rooftop ambience but the staff and waiters play a real spoilsport to it. Once u step foot in the rooftop restaurant you will be almost immediately ask whether you want food and alcohol both. If you are coming only for food they will strictly redirect you to 1st floor( Family dining). Then if you have successfully got into the rooftop restaurant they will be making you seat where you aren't comfortable to. Most of the waiters/staff are not at all courteous. They have basically very less idea about the food menu. So if you ask them about food basically the answer will be a yes or no, nothing further. Coming to the food part, it is exactly opposite to the experience...read more"

"Beautiful place with the warm reception of the waiter, it will be in love with the place. the menu had a variety for meat and non-meat food. the ambiente was really good. everyone had his respect for competitors in contrast to some restaurants where customers think loudly that they own this place. the meat was delicious, delicious and rich in seasoning.
