"Great breakfast experience! A somewhat hidden gem. In a unlikely place to find a breakfast joint like this one in the city. Dined in with my son. He really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich. I had corned beef hash, my favorite dish. Reasonable prices, and decent quality food. The coffee is good.The staff is very kind and welcoming. A few Ive noticed have been there working for many years.Its a cash preferred pay system, however they do accept credit cards. The only issue I see with this quaint little place is they do not allow credit card tips. So if you have to use a credit card, PLEASE BRING SOME CASH TO TIP YOUR SERVER! They deserve it and are a large part of your experience at Montieros! Enjoy!"

"I once had a coworker give me some delicious empanadas from this place so I had to try the other food. I spent 14 dollars on a small order of boneless chicken with white rice and beans , sweet plantains and an empanada. I was starving so I sped over to my job , ready to devour some good ole Spanish food!! But boy was I disappointed. My chicken chunks had no flavor and was tough to chew! It seemed as if the chicken was fried and then cooked again in an air fryer. It was so black , it looked like it was Cajun chicken . But nope. It was just over cooked. My “ white “ rice was yellow and over cooked. And the beans was just one pigeon pea mixed in the rice. Totally not what I was expecting for “ white rice with beans”. And the plantains weren’t drained of the oil. It seemed like it went straight from the pan into the container . If they weren’t so oily, I truly would’ve enjoyed them. They only thing I enjoyed was the empanada . Hopefully my next experience with this business will be better and everything I order will be delicious."

"Halal and fabulous!. I know what you think. halal pizza are two great flavors that do not really go together. Honestly? you're wrong. while I have no religious nutritional restrictions, there are few things I love to go as in kosher or halal restaurants. Perhaps it is only that we respond to a higher authority issue, but the quality of the ingredients is always top-notch. <br br>/ but what is a pizza without pfeffer sauce or sausage? Don't worry. the paprika and whistle they get here is better than anything that is available in waterbury only less fat. even my engagement that would eat vegetarian quite every day of the week if it does not make us order the meat pizzas here for sushi habitually. <br br>/ in addition, they serve a few traditional non-pizza Italian dishes (we haven't tried them yet), a handful of middle eastern dishes (wonderful), and now? roasted chicken with traditional sides (biscuits, cole slaw, etc., which is tender, juicy, only a little spicy and infinitely better and even cheaper than kfc. <br br>/ and that? they deliver anywhere in waterbury, and the service is fast and warm, not only friendly. I have a little conversation with the owner every time I call, and he makes me feel like a family. <br br>/ you cannot go wrong with roma. it can not be raised or fantasy, but sometimes a girl just wants to eat well, simple food prepared with skill and carefree."

"I must say that I was really surprised with the quality of the food.it was my first time there so I purchased a variety of items to take home to the family. The chicken was so good. Cooked to perfection. The carbe asada is soft and juicy. The carnitas were cooked amazingly. Juicy yet xrispy at the same time. Usually a place like this does one item really well but this is not your typical place. They gave me a sample of their Birria and barbacoa. Just as delicious as as the other proteins. Also their sides were great. I bought rice, beans and potato salad. Definitely going back soon!"
