"Out first time here, and absolutely wonderful meal from start to finish, value /price was very reasonable. Bone in Rib eye cooked to perfection! Will be back. Wine list is wonderful though a bit more french wines will be nice."

"The service was terrible! the whole meal was eaten! as if they needed the table for another party. we had ordered appetizers, we had not finished our appetizers earlier and the meals came. I wanted to send back, but I knew that the meals would be sitting under a heat lamp that boils away! Our waiter never looked at us to ask if we needed something or if our meal would be for our joy! we had to ask for water and more brot. then the best part was, we were not even finished with our entrees and the waiter asked if we were dessert! not the best culinary experience and for the pricing, the experience should be fantastic, and it was not! I would not recommend this restaurant."

"We have eaten at other Otesaga venues but this was our first time at 1909. What a wonderful experience, from beginning to end. The ambiance of the dining room was just right classy but not ostentatious. It had a warmth to it, enhanced by the stone fireplace dividing the two dining room spaces. The wait staff were friendly, informative, and very professional, able to answer any question we had. The drinks were well done and the perfect amount. But the star of our meal was, as it should be, the food. We started with a wedge salad that utilized romaine instead of iceburg, which gave it depth and texture, and then it was on to the steaks. My partner had the t bone, cooked perfectly medium rare, and I had the filet mignon, also cooked perfectly for me at medium. Nice char on the outside and melt in your mouth tender on the inside for both steaks. The front of the house manager was happy to discuss the process they used for each type of steak. My partner and I both agreed that these were the best steaks we had ever had, either at home or at any number of steak restaurants. The meal was perfectly timed, no feeling of rush at all. The prices were higher than we normally pay, but not out of line with other fine steakhouses. There were non steak options as well; a diner at the next table had the cod and she said it was amazing. It was a wonderful evening and I would recommend 1909 to anyone looking for a special experience."
