"I am a Duluth native but no longer live here. While visiting family, I took some friends here for drinks. I was warned by a local that it 's pricey, and that certainly was true, but I have a lot of respect for what they are doing. The staff took an impressive amount of time to explain things to us, and everyone working here was so friendly. Very cozy place. Great choice of music, too.My food rating refers to the drinks."

"Visited with my family today and all the adults had the Philly sandwich. It was super flavorsome and juicy and filling. Had a root beer float which came with Sprecher root beer. Also, ordered the cheese curds and dill pickle chips. I'm a big fan of deepfried pickles and these were thin and full of flavor, highly recommended. The overall experience was like being in a hometowndiner with super friendly and accommodating staff. This will be a repeat stop on future trips for our family!"

"Our waitress was very good. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta and meatballs are homemade, and you can tell! They are so good! I took half of my plate home because the portion was generous For dessert we shared an order of the amoretto cannoli. The amaretto mousse inside the cannoli is so good! I almost ordered another order of them. There are five per order, but we dove in before I got my picture. The restroom was very clean. I would definitely come back."

"We stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon and it was so crowded we left. Returned on a Monday and was great. Open patio and dining. We enjoyed two pizzas from their brick oven, as well as a bag of Windy City Three Mad Poppers popcorn, and a pretzel with beer cheese and popcorn. Also enjoyed a tiny glass of a very nice cider."

"Hoops is a gem of a brewery in Canal Park. The beer is always on point, and there's lots of space to hang out. On my last visit, I built my own flight. You pay by the glass, so you can try as many beers as you'd like! I tried the wood-smoked wheat, chili pepper ale, cranfest, and beermosa. They were all great, but the chili pepper was my favorite. It had a nice, spicy aftertaste. They don't have food (aside from pretzels and other bar snacks), but you can order outside food to enjoy with your drinks."

"We stopped in to pick up pizzas to take back up to our rooms. I had an NA beer, Two Roots. Great! One friend had a gimlet, with thyme. The next night he had a similar gimlet, with basil.We came in on Fri night of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon, last weekend in Jan, 2023. It was busy, but still pleasant. The pizzas were delicious, also one sausage, one mushroom and green olive hand tossed crust."
