"We found this restaurant in the Entertainment Book. We drove a half hour to get to it from where we live, so we were really hoping for a good meal. We definitely got it. Usually, I have found, at Thai restaurants, food comes out at all different times. For example, some people have often finished their entree (or had to start it to avoid it getting cold) while others still wait for theirs (and same during main course). Not at Blue River. The food came out promptly, and all together as it should have. Not only that, but the staff were very accommodating at taking special requests such as to leave an item out of the dish. Everything came out accurately and presented well. The actual food itself was delicious. The curry puffs were very, very tasty and had great pastry around them. The chicken satay was heavenly and the satay sauce just too good. Then my Chicken Fried Rice was perfect. The chicken was beautifully tender, soft and moist and the rice very flavourful. In fact everyone enjoyed their meal.The restaurant is neither big or small, but it did fill up around 7pm, so probably best to book a table to avoid disappointment, since there's no other restaurant in the immediate vicinity. They do do takeaways, but it didn't seem to hold up our meals like that can do at other places.In a nutshell; would I travel another half hour drive just to go to Blue River again? The answer is a resounding Yes!!! Thoroughly enjoyable, with good service to boot!"

"Monday night, ordered take-away delivery for 2 from RAMA THAI, Burke Road, Camberwell - they arrived promptly.. but.. had left one of the 3 dishes behind - after profuse and sincere apologies, he hurried off to collect and bring back the missing dish..We'd had a late lunch - not really hungry, but still wanted something tasty - ordered 2 serves chicken skewers with peanut satay sauce and 1 large container of coconut rice - very much worth the wait - the chicken was freshly grilled and tender - the skewers were generous - 5 per serve - the peanut satay was gorgeous - thick, well-balanced and spicy - not too sweet - the coconut rice was fluffy, well-separated and full-on with coconut flavour and fragrance - we really truly enjoyed it....!!Cost: $22.50 delivered.. How's that..!It filled the brief perfectly - Can't wait to order again - This time we're gonna be hungry...Ordered Monday 14 March 2016 for dinner."
