"Had a decent enough meal (fish and chips) at a decent enough price, but oh my goodness, I think the fact that there is supposed to be any social distancing and other measures to help prevent the spread of Covid 19 has completely passed them by!! There was a nod to track and trace a book to fill in, but no one checking if you had noticed the book let alone filled it in. There was a perspex screen at the bar, but the staff constantly going around it to make talking to customers easier. There were pots of hand gel, but saw no staff use them. No face coverings worn by any staff. No cleaning of items (like salt and pepper pots) in between people using them. The staff were hugging each other and customers constantly and there was hardly any space between tables or people generally.Staff generally polite, but running around like aimless headless chickens would be an apt description."

"Visited Dungeness on 28/12, followed signs to pub, not expecting it to be open, but yes it was. We were only ones in there initially and there was a lovely log fire, which we sat next to. Asked if we could have food and was told, if we were happy to wait 30 mins, then yes, so we sat and had a lovely hot chocolate and chatted to very friendly barman. We ordered fish finger sandwich, which came with chips and salad, couldn’t fault it, the fish was battered and like a goujon, plenty of it in the sandwich. Clean toilets too. By the time we left, the place was filling up. Our experience was very good, our expectations to be truthful weren’t that high, but we were grateful that it was open at least, but overall nothing to complain about."

"I served in the forces in Cyprus for 3 years, and we go on holiday there most years. I absolutely love Authentic Greek Cypriot food. We have a holiday caravan locally, and both me, my wife, and my family regularly visit Dometrios and have done for years. It is a typical Greek Cypriot family run business, so if you expect posh, fancy restaurants, you obviously haven't lived or eaten in an Authentic Greek Cypriot one. Leah and her family Kyriacos,(Chef), Pat and Eva are so welcolming, you are made to feel like you are part of their family. The food is excellent, Kyriacos cooks the food to perfection. I can highly recommend all the usual dishes, Kleftiko, Stifado,chicken/pork souvlaki. My wife's favourite is the Moussaka, and if it's available, I very highly recommend my favourite, Sheftelia, as it is the best I've tasted outside of Cyprus! I would highly recommend Demetrios and will certainly be visiting again whilst I'm down here on my Easter holidays! Andy Chris from Doncaster"

"Just had the Sunday Roast at the Britannia and absolutely fantastic it was too! I didn't go in looking for minus points as grateful someone else did the cooking and washing up. But was really good home cooking with real vegetables!! Desserts were very lush and naughty too. What was nice was the welcome and interaction with the customers. Excellent hence my 5 bubbles."

"This place is a traditional, warm and friendly pub which serves a great ploughmans lunch, Sunday dinner and has great party nights. We decided to have an afternoon celebration here for friends and family for a diamond wedding anniversary and the owner is always willing to go the extra mile and made it special. Great little pub."
