"Dropped in for a late lunch as we were in the area. It came recommended some time ago from a good friend. We had veg samosa, tandoori chicken, kadai chicken with garlic naan and roti. It was all quite good and I would try it out again for sure."

"We couldn't fault this. Food was fantastic and filling, staff were great and the setting was perfect for Surry Hills. It got really noisy and very busy for a Wednesday night but overall a fantastic experience. We had the Bang For Your Buck. Although amazing, it was on the expensive side. The wines are expensive too. Great for a date night or catch up with friends."

"Underrated treasure in lower Surry Hills. I keep coming back for the Tom Yum Congee, toasted sandwiches (brisket cheese), pork belly rice and fresh juices. One of the most inventive menus in Sydney right now, I don't know where else you would find modern Malaysian/Singaporean."

"It is a small joint and did take me a couple of tries to understand which dishes were available with which option, but the food was lovely. I had ordered a lamb shank curry with rice, my wife had ordered methi chicken and paneer mutter with butter roti (she substituted the rice with the Indian bread option). The lamb shank curry was perfectly done, the meat was tender and well marinated. I am not normally a steamed rice fan but this curry combined with rice was too good. Similarly the methi chicken was nicely done, this one wasn't spicy at all but definitely tasty. Can't say anything about the paneer mutter or the roti since my wife decided not to leave me any."

"I've been eating here for years off on. The place was renovated a few years back is much nicer now. Big plasma screens on the walls playing Indian movies music videos. Volume is not too loud. Very popular with Indian families taxi drivers. Food is fast cheap. I love the samosas. Also I like the Wed special Aloo Matar. Breads are also good. (2008 review) 2017 update I ate here a lot in 2017 and 2016. Really like the daily dal specials, e.g. channa dal, makhani, maharani. Also the masala dosa. They did another renovation early 2017, made it a bit classier, got rid of the big TV screens and also the prices went up about 15% I think. Still, it's very good authentic Indian food.
