"Given that this cafeteria-style restaurant is located on the top floor of a major department store, even I'm surprised at how delighted I was to find it. Background: it was a very hot day in Hannover and we were searching for a quiet mid-afternoon...spot in an air conditioned spot to have a cold beverage with ICE, a fairly rare commodity in Germany. We had been disappointed that we could not find a place with A/C and Ice... What we found here was delightful. It is a true cafeteria style restaurant with no table service. There is a large salad bar with many freshly chopped vegetables, grilled vegetables and prepared salads. We found everything fresh and delicious. There is a large bar with hot dishes, of which we sampled only a couple, finding the Swedish meatballs and cauliflower gratin very tasty. There is also a counter where you can order hot dishes to order. You pick it all up on a plate on your tray, pay and find a table. The restaurant itself has a nice informal atmosphere, stay as long as you want, was calm and relaxing and very comfortable. When you are finished, you bus your own dishes to the drop off area. Overall, we give it high ratings for both food and atmosphere. We would dine there again, especially given our vegetarian proclivities and the terrific salad bar."
