"This was my favorite restaurant in Heidelberg! The food was so delicious and the staff was super friendly! The restaurant has both an English and German menu, so if your German is rusty (like mine) ask the host. Also, the beer from the restaurant is...SO good! We ordered sausage and Rouladen that was absolutely perfect. Do yourself a favor and order potatoes (Kartoffel) too!"

"This place has potential, but sadly the servers seem stressed overwhelmed, and the food orders were inaccurate. There is an English menu, but that led to some of the inaccuracies as there were mistakes in the translations. The pizza, once it arrived with the...proper toppings, was OK, and the chicken fingers and cheese sticks were tasty. A soft drink took over minutes to arrive. The chaos of the place is so distracting that it is difficult to enjoy your meal. Be prepared to wait ... A LOT ... for EVERYTHING"

"We stumbled across this place on Monday evening, after having travelled kms from France. we had been booked in our Hotel restaurant Hotel Heidleberg just up the road from here, but had left after having waited for over an hour for food, another story...and another review . so we were very tired , very hungry . We received a warm welcome, despite the waiter not being able to speak english and my german is basic, we managed to communicate and we had a very simple main course steak, but cooked beautifully and very tasty, a great bottle of red , and a schnapps on the house. Very friendly and would,go again if ever visiting the area. Do not go to Heidelberg hotel for food just a few mins up road. See my review"

"We ate here because the place where we wanted to dine was full and they sent us here as it is their sister restaurant. It was a Sunday evening so our choices were limited and we were happy to find a place for dinner. However...we were very disappointed in the food and our waiter. The food was merely mediocre. The waiter was inattentive, abrupt and rude when he did appear and to make matters worse I gasped when he poured wine into my half full water glass. He said he would replace the wine but we had to remind him after waiting a long time for my wine. If I made a mistake of that magnitude I certainly would have taken care of it immediately and probably offered a complimentary glass as an apology for sloppy service!"

"First impression: superficial cleaning. I chose a table outside and the seat beside me had bird poo, some grated carrot, and piece of lettuce on it. Second impression: slow service. Although I was the only guest in the morning, it took about 10 minutes until...I got a menu and again several minutes until someone took my order. The waitstaff was very friendly though. Final impression: food not that great either. I ordered the Till Ritter omelette with mushrooms, shrimps and cheese, accompanied by a basket of bread. I understand that an omelette with cheese is greasier than an omelette only made of eggs, but that omelette was shiny from oil and quite solid, not fluffy as an omelette should be. The bread basket consisted of two rolls with butter on the side. The regular roll was okay but the multigrain roll must have been a day old, it was very tough to cut and to chew."
