"We went here as a treat last year and I forgot to review it at that time, however, as I say, it's not cheap, upmarket, but very good. Our meal was excellent, as well prepared and presented as I would expect it to be for...the price. It's always enjoyed a good reputation locally. I also had an excellent lunch here a couple of years ago. The place was a little cold, and some of the décor does not reflect properly the standard of upmarket hotel and spa it represent to be in my opinion, not really anywhere near plush enough for the money. The highlight for me was the knickerbocker glory absolutely the best, better than the ones you got as a kid! There are two versions dependent on the time of year I had the one with chocolate brownies in, indulge yourself, what a treat, truly first class. In fact, I've been back for just a K.G.!"

"Have been waiting to try a visit here but our first attempt was weather related. We managed to get in Saturday June and were seated in the beer garden which with the Sun shining was extremely pleasant. After a lovely cold pint we ordered...the recommended garlic mushrooms and also prawn cocktail. Both were fresh plentiful and so reasonably priced. The sauce the mushrooms were in was delicious and made you want to eat it like soup with a spoon. We then chose our mains which was a lovely presented seafood linguine which was packed with prawns, mussels and squid in a rich creamy sauce with pasta cooked to perfection. A home made lasagne was thick, meaty and full of flavour accompanied by home made chips made for another lovely main course. We shall definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Service was quick and polite and made the evening ejoyable"

"Where do I start,I decided to come to the red hart to meet up with friends for good drinks,we had kids with us so we needed a child friendly place which the red hart certainly is,we had pre booked a table which was a good thing as it was quite busy,not a surprise though as the food is amazing,our table had different meals on the menu I can honestly say every meal which came put was amazing,the pie I was told was amazing,everything is homemade down to the chips,it all was delicious,all the children had dessert I was told the pancakes were amazing,this is a place I can 1000% recommend especially if you like everything homemade,this is a gem of a place if you are passing through Blyth I’d definitely recommend a visit,absolutely great food we will certainly be back soon"

"This is a great place if you are after an alternative to the usual pub , Chinese , or Indian fayre. The portions are huge, so be careful how much you order! The ribs are very good and the burgers are amazing. They have some great beers on too. Only downside is the kitchen seems to struggle when there are a few tables in eating. All in all though well worth a visit."
