"Wow, first time we’ve visited this place considering it’s been around for 12 years and I think I’ve found my favourite place to eat in Ipswich. The food was fantastic. A wide range and choice of buffet style hot and cold home Cooked traditional foods and the meat was nothing but exceptional. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff member who showed us to our seat and got our drinks sorted first thing. No fuss, no waiting and to the point. He recommended a traditional Brazilian beer which was delicious. Once we were settled we were able to Collect out plates and chose the food we wanted as our side and then the meat just kept coming. Perfectly cooked and tender meats of all types were constantly brought to our table. Ranging from topside of beef to bbq lambs leg, chilli chicken and even bbq chicken hearts. All cooked to perfection on the visible rotisserie in the main restaurant area. Very reasonably priced and drink very affordable too. Perfectly seasoned meats and bursting with flavour. Especially the Brazilian sausages and chicken croquettes. The place was very well presented and the toilets exceptionally clean and well maintained. I can’t wait to go back and show friends this amazing place. 10 out of 10 Well done and keep up the good work."

"Disappointed with the food. We came for a family meal and all found the food overcooked. I had a chicken burger and it was fried so much that the chicken was really dry and hard to chew. We used to really enjoy the Farmhouse for a family treat, but this has put us off. Even my 3 year old didn't eat his chicken nuggets as they were too tough and he always loves chicken nuggets. Also thought the self service for knives and forks was a bit of a backward step, when you are paying for table service. Will we return? Sadly I think we could get a better experience elsewhere for our money. Service was fairly quick, we didn't feel like we waited too long, just that the food wasn't worth waiting for unfortunately. Hope above feedback helps to improve things kitchen side as we like the atmosphere and convenience of being able to order from the table. Price per person: £60–70 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3"

"Visited the Ipswich branch unexpectedly after a long long time (about 6 years) of avoiding any Harvester branch due to repeat issues with the food being cooked badly or low grade quality. I can't say we ever had any problems with service or anything, just the food. We had an English breakfast each and apart from the sausages not being a great quality, and the fizzy drinks being kind of flat, I have to say the chef done an amazing job cooking with the ingredients given to him. We opted to add a 4oz rump steak and both asked for rare. He knocked it out of the park and it was perfect. I had to tell the server how impressed we felt. Turns out he was under 20 years old! So thank you Cornell (I believe) for the top chef skills! It's been a while since I've had a perfectly cooked steak, even from a steakhouse. I think if I knew he would be working the kitchen I would return again."

"As we come to csi every couple of weeks tells you it must be good and Saturday night just gone we had a fantastic night loved the Motown music its what I grew up with and i also so was called in the draw so it was extra great I recommend that every one should try it once."

"Just had our Xmas lunch here and it was excellent. From the initial meet and greet to the food and to us leaving 2 hrs later, everything was faultless. Lunch was absolutely delicious, we could only manage three out of the four courses had to take a rain check on the coffee but managed to squeeze in the mint chocolates . Compliments to the chef and kitchen team! The waiting staff were attentive and our courses weren't rushed making our lunch time spent at the Oyster Reach very enjoyable. If Xmas lunch is happening here in 2021 we will definitely be coming. Would highly recommend. Well done !"
