"Ich bin schon als kleiner Junge mit meinen Eltern bei Achim zum Essen gegangen und bin noch nie enttäuscht worden. Die Atmosphäre ist rustikal und gediegen, man wird persönlich begrüßt. Achim ist der dienstälteste Wirt in Bochum, das muss man gesehen haben."

"We were three and the first time in the restaurant the krans .we were in the position to choose between inside and outside and decided to have a nice place under the tent that stands on the terrace. the nice service asked us immediately after an aperitiw and recommended us an aperol we also ordered. next to the menu a fish as well as pfifferlings and matjes were recommended. we chose the pfifferlings that we ordered with pigeons and bark fillets. the portions were well dimensioned, the dishes were beautifully dressed and very tasty. we lived in a beautiful evening in the nativity and will definitely come back."

"Am 2. Weihnachtstag wollten wir ein schönes Essen in der "Neuen Schulenburg" genießen. Aber schon mit der laminierten zweiseitigen Speisekarte (a la Imbissbude) fing es an. Kein Hinweis auf eine Extrakarte zu Weihnachten auf der homepage.Vegetarisches Gericht? Fehlanzeige! Man könne aber einen großen gemischten Salat bringen. Der entpuppte sich dann als etwas größerer Beilagensalat, grüne Blätter, sonst nichts. Brot zum Salat kam nur auf Nachfrage (3 kleine Scheibchen Baguette).Der Apperetiv war lauwarm, ohne Eis und Orange.Der Hauptgang war ebenfalls lauwarm, der Fisch extrem trocken,das angebliche Wildreisrisotto ein einziger "Matschklumpen" und die Pfeffersoße zum Schnitzel offensichtlich aus der Packung (extrem überwürzt). Einzig die Nachspeise war genießbar.Schade um den schönen Abend!"

"Our visit to the Lux took place last weekend before the curfew started. We did not know until then, and the exterior of the slate house made a good impression. A huge menu and a small under glass were attached to the façade, so we could already make a (false impression of the offer. Inside we were kindly greeted by a waiter who then devoted himself to his conversation with the Lord behind the counter. We looked for a place and then had enough time to devote ourselves to the exact investigation of the institution. There is nothing to use against the device, there are comfortable seating furniture without much kink at tables for different large groups. After we have solidified some holes in the walls, we have prepared two menus from a shelf for the order. After a look at the clock we decided to give the service 5 minutes and, if necessary, to change the place. But oh wonder, there was an interruption in conversation at the counter and the friendly Lord came to us. When we wanted to order some of the two menus outside the building, it turned out that the dishes were no longer offered, which could not be changed for 'technical' reasons outside. So we decided, flexible as hunger made us, quickly and chose a daily dish ' chicken breast fillet with Metaxasauce ' (9,90€), which was then served simultaneously with a Krombacher (0,33l 2,70€). It was combined with crispy pommes and a fresh salad with piquant dressing. The part was not exaggerated, but enough and much more important everything was delicious. After a long waiting period we could pay and go. It was acceptable, but the Lux will not be one of our tribes, especially as we had to go back to two neighbouring dishes that were not ordered by the guests."
