"We visited here on a Thursday evening. Our starter to share was deep fried haloumi. For main course we both had the Turkey schnitzel, one with peppers and the other with mushrooms. Both mains were served with generous helping of chips. The meals were very...tasty and there was plenty to eat. The service was excellent considering the fact that the restaurant was very busy. We had three large beers with our meals and the total cost was I would recommend this restaurant and will visit again"

My last visit was in November and I even went days in a row to have dinner with my...family. The service is spectacular, not stiff like in a star Michelin restaurant but like the team love what they do and try to accommodate the needs of the guest whenever possible, the philosophy seems to be 'Yes is the answer, what is the question. "Every time I visit my son in Kassel, I pass the Café Nordpol where he lives nearby. This means that in the meantime we have visited this café again and again, for a very late breakfast, for a small bite with a drink, or just relax at one of the tables in front of the café with great warmth under a shaded chestnut. Inside there are two guest rooms, a back glass for the smokers, all simply furnished in an appealing bistro style. When the place is full, the noise level can also be quite high. According to HP, Café Nordpol is a meeting point for different cultures, nationalities, professional and age groups in a cozy atmosphere. And of course this also applies to the immediate vicinity of the University of Kassel, to the Kulturzentrum Schlachthof and to the Klinikum in the North Quarter. Many call the café “DAS breakfast savings of the city”. The offer is very diverse: from 09.00 you can choose between 18 different complete breakfast offers (3,50 € to 10,90 € as well as other small dishes for breakfast. When we had breakfast here a few months ago, we were very satisfied with the quality and the ample amount. If you do not have breakfast until afternoon, you do not have to go to the “Café Nordpol”, because after breakfast offers, the actual menu begins. Warm dishes are available from 12 a.m. – 24.00 a.m., a wide range of Mediterranean appetizers, many hot baguettes, various omeletts, salads, pizzas in all variations, pasta, baked, ice skates, rye, meat dishes with all kinds of meat, also carving and arg. Rumpsteak. The price calculation is absolutely customer-friendly, the prices for most main dishes are between 5,00 € and 8.00 €. Only 3 or 4 main dishes cost more than € 10,00 (steak, lamb). During our visit today, the hunger was slightly larger in the late afternoon/before midday evening and after the menu was browsed, we decided relatively quickly for a gypsy carving with frits and mixed salad (7.50 €, plus a 0.4 l of cola for me and 0.5 l of crystal wheat at 3.20 € each. The side salads come quickly on our table, all ingredients fresh and crisp with a spicy yogurt dressing that tastes good for us. After a further suitable waiting period we are served to the Savengern, large pieces, the meat juicy and well seasoned. The panade does not look like a frituse dress and does not taste it, but the carving is cooked in it because on my demand at the young service lady she said she asked in the kitchen and the cook said it was his secret. The beautiful ally gypsy sauce had the right sharpness for me, but my son loves it much sharper, it tasted anyway. Overall, we had a plentiful part without culinary high altitude flight, but with clean meat quality and attractive supplements at a very good price. The service is friendly and uncomplicated, works quickly, even with corresponding requests. We'll be back. PS. Unfortunately no photos today, something is stuck."
