"Like many other reviewers we visited this restaurant after seeing it on Rick Stein's Long Weekends, but I was a bit wary after reading some of the reviews. However, my fears were unfounded. The dinner was lovely and service was fantastic - they were happy to let us sit and mull over our wine between courses and brought out a dessert plate to celebrate our anniversary. A really lovely evening, with good quality ingredients cooked expertly in an open fire in the middle of the restaurant. It's not cheap, but worth every penny in my opinion."
