"I just recently dined at Sassi Kitchen Bar and I must say that it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time! I am what I like to call a 'borderline vegetarian ' and I do not normally eat meat...unless it is very good quality. The pork chops and ribs are to die for!!! I couldn 't get enough of the pork chops. I dined with friends so I had to opportunity to try more than one dish and I can confidently say that all of the ingredients are very fresh and the prices are great too. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Calgary :"

"We were anxious to return to Calypso after a couple of years. What a disappointment! The service was good, but the quality of food has taken a sharp dive. They must have a new chef as the food just was not good. There were 4 of us and we all had different dishes, along with different aps. Also disappointed in the fact one of the parties is celiac and asked the waitress if she could help with gluten free dishes. She said they couldn’t guarantee anything. Unfortunately we will not be back. Once a good restaurant with reasonable prices. Just not the case any longer."

"Our first time and despite of going in the middle of the Covid severe restrictions time, Greek Next Door didn't disappoint us at all ! The pizza with Funghi and Prosciutto was delicious, so the Gnocchi with Bacon bits. Dolmades and Skanakopita tasted good and the Flaming Cheese is a must ! Coming back next time to try the lunch menu."

"Took the family out to have a celebratory dinner for two graduates. The atmosphere was definitely Greek, the food was wonderful and fresh. The house wine was fresh and crisp. The service was lovely and we never felt bothered. We had a perfect experience. I hope more people will take the time to visit and enjoy the food. Thank you to the lovely owner and her son Luca for a wonderful evening. We decimated the delicious dessert."

"Embedded in a tiny corner of a stripe mall next to Deer Ridge in the SE is @plakagreek . Greek food that is as fresh as it is delicious. We were often and I always forget to post because it is so good. We started with Saganaki (foot cheese), which is served to your table and lit while everyone around you oohs and aahs. Sure. Crispy outside with melted gooey goodness in the middle. Cut it up and put your Pita bread, which is easily coated in olive oil and herbs. Damn it. Good. Calamari was our other starter and they make Calamari better than most. Slightly baked, cooked for perfection with a tzaztiki that feels so refreshing it feels like sitting on the beach. Nothing worse than Calamari, which is overdue, chew and spread into enough bread to mask what little Calamari can be inside. Plaka nails it every time. Next was our pack. I had lamb, wife and daughter the chicken. Lamb requires very little spices because good lamb should shine on itself, so I like if it is not over spiced. Plaka gets that and makes it really good. Chicken requires a taste boost in my opinion, and this was really well seasoned to the packaging a burst of taste, without leaving any other fresh ingredients. Everyone came with a Greek salad. Olive oil, herbs, many fetas crush and fresh tomatoes, red onion, cucumber and salad. Perfect. Now you get not only delicious food, but also attentive, valuable and friendly staff. This is a hidden gem of some fantastic people running, so bring yer full wallets and yer empty gullets and have some great scarf while another fantastic little business."
