"It was our second time in Megu and I can tell that the food and service have definitely improved since the summer of 2017. The most noticeable change is the dessert and we were really pleasantly surprised with what we had at the end of our tasting menu. The dessert was fresh, had amazing flavours and textures so congratulations to the pastry chef. However, I would like to mention just a few points of constructive criticism with my best intentions at heart. I wish the portions for the tasting menu were just a touch bigger for the price you pay. As you can see from the pictures most of the dishes were barely 50g and the sushi was 5 piece of nigiri. We actually ordered extra temaki which for a menu of nearly 200chf should have been necessary. we could tell that the waiters were trying to serve everyone as best as they could but still for a 1 michelin star restaurant I felt that they didn't spend enough time to explain the dishes in details. More often than not it was us who asked questions about the ingredients. I also felt that an amuse buche should have been included in the menu for a restaurant of this range. With that being said, we had a great time and would love to come back and see how the restaurant progresses."
