"Atmosphere for dinner was outstandingly not noisy compared to other Asian restaurants in the area because of its "compartment" set-up for each group of patrons. Food quality suits all of us 3 in the group and it's tasty."

"We went for lunch. Their door open at 11:30am. We were 2nd. in line when we arrived 11:25am.by 12:00, all seats were taken.family of 4 had lunch combo.1- sashimi combo with small udon2- sushi sandwich combo with small udon3- Shioya(BBQ mackerel) combo4-nabeyaki udonlunch combo come with miso soup.we all enjoyed and they are very reasonable price.we will try for dinner next time."

"This place is really unique. It was my first time here. I really enjoyed the Fried Rice. The best I have ever had. Even got to drink my first Korean drink. The staff was nice and friendly. I will definitely be returning with more friends!!"

"I have not been to the Kiyo Sushi, Japanese Restaurant, Cambie, Richmond for sometime but last wednesday to decided to check it out. The Kiyo Sushi is still neat tidy and friendly greeted by the Chefs as we enter the restaurant. The food is still good albeit the portions are somewhat reduced. I can understand that cost of doing business goes up but so does the price. It is usually crowded but this time there is no long que and the place was not full during lunch time."

"Had a chance to visit this place as a group of five. They are only open for dinner service from 6 to 9:30 pm. The restaurant is small and cozy and you have the sushi chef and the hostess/waitress who are running the show. We had the Omikase (chef prepares dishes of his choice for you) and it had a good combination of sushi and sashimi and other delicious items.The fish was obviously the star of the show and if you're not fortunate enough to live near an area where fresh variety is available, you are in for a treat here. Everything we tasted was really good and there was no hint of "fish smell" which is usually an indication of near expiring fish. It was buttery, it was nice thick pieces; the rice was still warm - all good signs of an expert sushi chef.Speaking of the chef, he did a masterful job of keeping pace filling orders all by himself. My only small complaint would be that we had to constantly ask the waitress what fish we were eating whereas I'm told Omikase usually the chef or waitress explains each dish brought to you. Despite that, still a great sushi restaurant."
