"This is THE BEST sushi place in all of Vancouver! Better than Toshi, better than Kishimoto, and better than Ajisai! Absolutely everything on the menu is authentic, beautifully presented and delicious! The Tuna Gomawasa ae is like heaven on earth ... this is an absolute must! The people are lovely, the atmosphere is wonderful, this is my happy place. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this everything about this place!"

"A wonderful meal, every dish was excellent. It was beautifully presented and the quality of the ingredients was allowed to shine. We enjoyed the Masumi Aka Yamahai Junmai Ginjo sake with our dinner We had wonderful pickles to start, the matsutake tempura was a seasonal treat, the kale goma-ae was the best I've tasted, the sable fish was delicate and perfectly prepared, the red wine miso stew had a delicious umami sauce and we finished off with a spectacular Kabocha cheesecake for dessert. It was comfortable seating and the music was soft. the perfect ambiance for a relaxing dinner and quiet conversation."

"Their duck ramen almost teleported me to Japan, it was extremely flavourful and asking for extra oil was the best decision I made. Noodles were super chewy and the egg yolk inside was cooked perfectly with a gel like consistency. Minus one star because service was super slow, they only had 2 servers and 1 chef. Drinks took forever to arrive which they acknowledged and apologized."

"Sunday afternoon after checking out the annual Japanese festival in Robson Square we decided to grab a bite. My friend wanted to have ramen so we decided to go to Horin so we didn't have to go all the way down to Robson street. When the 3 of us got there there's a line up already and there were 5 groups waiting. So we put down our name and started to study the menu while we waited. 15 minutes later they finally called our name and we ordered as soon as we sat down. I ordered the Regular size Ajitama ramen (just $1 more than small) combo C which includes a salad, Japanese pickles, and icecream. We also got to customize the soup flavor level, the noodle firmness, richness, and the spiciness which I really like. The total (tax and tips included) ended up to be $18 which is not too bad. I would definitely go back again."
