"Went here with a group of friends. The restaurant was lovely and spacious, comfy chairs, good service. We shared a variety of entrees - curry puffs and roti bread were my favourites. Also shared mains - soft shell crab, another seafood curry, massaman lamb was my favourite. I'd certainly go back - we paid $60 per couple which I thought was reasonable."

"Featuring the District 5 Bistro, which has great meals at very attractive prices, the pub itself has a good range of drinks at nice prices (my Shiraz by the glass was delicious and only $7). It was great that it did not have a TV, pokies or the a TAB. Bands play hear regularly and might go back sometime to hear one."

"I've been trying to eat here since they opened and finally got a chance to visit today. It looks amazing, so light, crisp and modern- like an interior designer's dream. We sat outside, as I had been told that it gets very stuffy inside. It took about 5 minutes for the waitress to realise that the finished plates at the table weren't ours, but we eventually got a menu and ordered coffee. I was surprised that there were not many cold drinks on the menu (apart from very rich sounding smoothies and the usual iced coffee/chocolate). I was sure there would be an iced tea or local sparking soda or something. I opted for my usual iced espresso, and I must say I was disappointed! It was either burnt or something went array in the process. It had that detergent, bitter taste that I'm pretty confident was not intentional. I'm sure they would have made another one if I asked, but I just waited for the ice to melt and drank it as was. I ordered the pea fritters- which I normally probably wouldn't go for but they were delicious! On first look, I was worried that they may be dry, but they were great, dressed with a vibrant, colourful salad, including some amazing pickled capsicum or something that was a bomb of flavour. The bed of aioli and pesto added the final touch to the dish and moistened everything up. There was also flaked salmon fillet and an egg to tie it all in. I also found the water glasses too small and kept spilling mine all over the table when it rocked slightly. Staff were all friendly and seemed to be asking every customer how their meal was, with the intention of gathering feedback (great move for a new cafe in a competitive patch of the suburb). Parking not too hard to come by- just watch the permit parking zones."

"We read about this bistro on TripAdvisor so thought we would try it. It's only a small area for dining but it's kind of quirky... we ordered the recommended porterhouse steak and while they were cooked perfectly, the steak was really tough which was a shame because the salad was delicious and the service excellent. I would recommend for travellers and backpackers for a nice cheap meal."

"We were referred to this fully licensed cafe by a local photographer while we waited for our prints to be developed. The boys had the Rueben sandwich and I had the Japanese prawns. Both dishes were around $17.50 each and excellent value. Both dishes also came with a side of chips. Good food, good prices, good service, good atmosphere. If I lived closer it would be a local. Worth a visit if you're in the area."

"Arrived for a noon booking to a a lovely young waitress who seated us promptly. We were seated in a corner table near a fire place which on the raining day was great! I ordered the Pork Belly and my partner the Porterhouse. Both were great value for money and the young waitress even paired both with a glass of Pinot Noir for me and a beer for the hubby. Would definitely go back!"
