"The manager knows what happened and asked me not to ruin her call with a bad (but truly) review about the christmas in july lunch. So I'm not gonna put all this detail in. but it was terrible and surprising that the staff even served. it without embarrassment. we couldn't complain the day to not embarrass our host, but emails directly in the hope that they would learn before they beg on other customers in the next week. we knew the day before that the buffet was not available, but $40 for a 3 cursor meal and christmas cracker was expensive, but if it had been good, we would not have accepted a buffet. the restaurant was not busy so it would not have had any pressure in the kitchen. the offered medium was to go back and try again! no credit, refund or concrete, so that after a week or so I decided to post a review. So if you want to go here, phone and check if the cook is back out of the holiday and keep her finger crossed."

"We are regular visitors to the Steel Tree, and have been so for years. Have only ever had about three mediocre meals in all this time. But last night, topped it all. I had Reef on Reef and my sister had the Pork Belly. I'll swear the other customers could hear us salivating as we ate. The fish and prawns were lovely, the salad, which I usually shove to the side everywhere I go because of the chunky lettuce, was perfect with a lovely mustardy dressing. But the bomb of the meal was the beer battered chips. They're always nice, but these were the best I've EVER had. OMG, they were so nice. When I finished my meal I could have ordered a repeat meal with a double side of chips. My sister was the same. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they make the nicest coffee. Although, the on site coffee is sometimes warm not hot unless requested, but the takeaway is always hot. Always fresh, never bitter."

"Went here for the first time today only had a couple of starters and Belgian style Wheat Beer's... Place was great and staff very friendly. The Wheat Beer was good, and the starters where awesome. Weather was a bit cold, but staff brought out gas heaters which was nice. Will definitely be back. (Note: the menu I found online seems to be different to what we had)..."

"WE had a group birthday dinner, 14 of us, and the staff and food was great. Catered well for the kids also. All the meals were of good standard and were served in a timely manner and arrived hot. Restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was good. Music was a little loud but overall I can recommend this restaurant."

"We took our kids to Nando’s Baldivis for our son’s birthday, what a great experience! We got there early ordered a ton of food drinks for a very reasonable rice. We were served the food quickly by the wonderful, friendly staff. It was...fresh delicious!! By the time we left the place was packed with a long queue waiting to order, obviously it’s very popular. Will definitely go back!!"
