"We have visited this local restaurant many, many times over the years. It’s the first place we choose to eat after after we’ve landed on the island. The service and food have always been excellent. We’ve always enjoyed a consistently good standard of food delivered...by friendly, professional staff. Last night we went with friends, who live in Madeira, to the new premises for the first time. What a disappointment! The service was very slow and one member of the group didn’t get her meal until we’d almost finished ours. I hope the poor service on this visit was a ‘one off’. It would be such a shame if this usually excellent restaurant failed to live up to its past performance"

"The food at this restaurant was the best I had during my stay in Canico. The self serve salad is a nice touch and unique amongst the restaurants in the area. The grilled Tuna was very impressive."

"This place is very popular with the locals and I can see why. The food is ridiculously reasonable and delicious and home cooked. I strongly recommend the swordfish fillet which was only €5! The manager was really friendly and the place was very clean. I will definitely come again."

"Hidding in the second floor of a shopping center, this Italian restaurant impressed us by its quality. Very reasonable price (starters from € mains Freshly pressed orange juice Excellent expresso Being in a shopping center, the atmosphere is nothing special. Serve...meals at any time. Waitress speaks english fluently. Note that there is a second restaurant with the same name (and the same owners) in Funchal."

"What a great place for dinner and some of the best sangria I have tasted. The serving sizes was generous and service was great. I can recommend the grilled squid and the picanha. Overall, great in all aspects."

"We got quick friendly service although the restaurant was quite full. We had the chicken espetada, which was nicely seasoned but not crisp - grilled without the skin. The mixed fish platter had three different fish on it: a sardine, a kind of sea bass (previously frozen, the fat under the skin had an aftertaste), and merluza. It was our fault, though: We should have asked, which fish is in season and fresh in winter."
