"Thank heavens! After a wee detour, the Gladdie is back to being a great pub and place to eat. Good food, good service and a friendly atmosphere. Not sure how it is at the weekend;s when the Wgt urbanites go rural but during the week, it's a treat to be enjoyed. Keep it up !"

"Four of us went for brunch. Two of us had the Beef bourguignon pie. It was amazing beef was tender, full of flavour and cooked with love. Although more liquid inside that expected, the supplied spoon allowed us to finish it off easily. Highly recommended for brunch. The pastry from the cabinet was delicious."

"Sat in the room next to the outdoor garden. If weather was better would've preferred to sit out there. Service was ok, the owner was very friendly and two guests were below the age of 3 and were being entertained well. I didn't have high hopes when ordering my meal but was very pleasantly surprised to have had the best Surf and Turf I've ever eaten! Just amazing. Will most certainly return."

"After a random Google search for food in carterton I chose these guys to fill the hunger gap. The ham cheese and tomato croissant was tasty and fresh, coffee was great and the ginger and pistachio slice had an awesome crunchy base.. it took me right back to the crunchy ginger slices of the 1980s. Outstanding"

"Divine food! What more needs saying. The mixed platter entrée was tasty and filling. The sigąr borêk were piping hot, crispy, and so very tasty. And they were just the start! The falafel and dolmades were terrific, and the bread char grilled to my taste and well suited to the great hummus. I almost didn't need the Lamb Burger, but I was pleased I had it as it was scrumptious and the horopito relish so tasty. Our waitress/host gave great service, attentive but not over the top. A visit from the owner/chef rounded out a great meal. We'll be back, and can recommend eating here."
