"We were in town for a wedding and at loose ends with 5 couples on a Friday night.. Potters was the obvious choice. easy pub food thats actually tasty, plenty of beer choices and a great outdoor area that enabled the smokers to be close...enough to be part of conversation, but far enough away that we couldn't smell the smoke! we had a great night, met some great people and laughed a lot."

"Consistency is essential for families looking for a venue to eat. The Aussie as it is known scores big in this area . The food is ALWAYS good . Service good and its a nice venue . Servings are huge and pricing is lower than average . Feels like visiting an old friend - perhaps some of the competitors need to visit to understand how simple it is to shine."

"I like the fact that this buffet charges by a child's age and we have a child 7 years hence $7 and a child 10 hence $10 They enjoy a meal plus some ice cream or other sweets.Two pictures attached. There is a modest selection of Asian options along with traditional roasts This place is no stand out but pretty good value and tasty foods.Drink prices also very reasonable.Hunter Valley Experience Tours Simon."

"With a town full of great eateries, cafe on cooper needs a bit of a spruce up. It's old and drab by and feels sad sitting inside. Maybe a new colour or an updated menu. However in saying that the meals are reasonably priced.I had the Fish, Chips & Salad. The fish was nice, the salad was basic and my piece of lemon was old and I couldn't use it. When I order a salad I expect it to have a dressing on it, not given a little sachet of dressing to do it myself. As well as given a sachet of tartare sauce. You might want to rethink this Chef because I'm paying to sit in a cafe and have a meal I'm not at the local fish and chip takeaway store.All in all it was a pleasant experience, but everything is old and tired and sad even the staff need a bit of pick me up, smiling wouldn't go astray."

"Saturday night has live music which is a nice touch. If the bistro is full you can eat in the relaxed lounge area. Food was hearty and filling. The kitchen can give you a tax invoice but not the bar, which isn't good for business travellers justifying their expenses. Play roon for kids is good for families. Good amount of choices on the menu but nothing uber healthy. Good pub meal options. If under time constraints great option, what you expect is what you get"
