"Lovely! Very pleasant terrace along the river with a view of the old bridge. Very good salad, hearty. Good wrap. Cakes and cheesecakes in the tradition of this kind of place. Particularly welcoming owners. PMR access without difficulty to the room. A few steps to the terrace. Well done."

"I left a five-star rating earlier for this fabulous place, but as soon as they opened, I think it is very much that Mary and Nick have gone from strength to strength in every respect. The ambience is excellent, the service is personal and well maintained while not intrusive. The wide range of spectacular teas and coffee is in the second to none and everywhere is immaculately clean and beautifully artistic, a real pleasure just to be there. But what about the food you ask? Well, I left the best until last, as the food is so good and consistent. Perfectly fresh and fabulously tasty, all house cooked with health in the head, you will not find better. Mary cooks and prepares everything that leaves her kitchen to maintain the strictest quality control. This is our "fortunate place." You can park on the square in Confolens and enjoy the beautiful short walk over the old bridge or you can drive around and find parking by the river or along the road. If you can, this is a popular place loved by French and English locals."

"We live ten mins away. This is a fantastic real French cafe. Everything produced on the premises. If you don't speak French don't worry menu is easy to understand. Three dining rooms on the last visit all the workers had tucked themselves into one family's...in the small one. Food is great price is great. This is a rural cafe with excellent food. Car parking easy as it is at the tourist station."

"While on a holiday enjoying all France had to offer, myself and my partnerand a good friend visited the Irish Belle tea rooms in confolens last week for a bite to eat while sightseeing around that particular area,we were greeted with a warm welcome from the Irish Lady who ran the place which itself was a warm cosy and friendly atmosphere, My partner and his friend ordered a full irish breakfast and i ordered home baked apple pie and fresh cream we also got three cans of coke for afters, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our food and found it to be very filling and reasonably priced at only 25euros, could not have been made feel more welcome or at home and could not fault the food, will definitely visit the Irish Belle again while on holiday from Ireland :) A taste of home and well reccomended, Enda and Anita."
