"We were visiting Cowes for the Easter break and glad we came across Pennylane Cafe. We ordered pancakes which my partner enjoyed very much and I ordered poached eggs which were cooked to perfection ( soft and runny ) as well as bacon mushrooms and tomatoes. All I can say is that it was delicious. Unfortunately we had plans for Easter Monday already otherwise we would have been back there for a second breakfast. We will be back on our return trip to Cowes. Christine and Christopher"

"This little cafe is hidden off the main street but well worth a visit. My husband and I had the lunch special "potato and leek fritters with pumpkin puree" and "chicken tenderloin salad".Both very tasteful and very reasonably priced at $16. The staff are very pleasant and we thanked them for a very tasty meal. Well done."

"We came after making a reservation for dinner. Stood there waiting for several minutes and not once did the 2 staff staff who walked past us several times acknowledge our presence or stop to speak to us. A simple hello and acknowledgement, would have been a simple courtesy any waiting client deserves. Needless to say, we walked out after being completely ignored and went elsewhere for dinner"
