"Das Konzept ist interessant. Am Eingang erhielten wir jeder eine Magnetkarte, auf die die Speisen und Getränke gebucht werden sollten. „40 Minuten Wartezeit!“, bekamen wir als Info am Rande mit auf den Weg. Das schreckte mich schon irgendwie ab. „Ist ganz normal. Wir holen uns erst mal was zu trinken.“, beschied mich meine Freundin.An den einzelnen Stationen standen unterschiedlich viele Essenswillige an. An der Pizza war am wenigsten los. Deshalb entschieden wir uns für Pizza. Die Pizza Rucola hatte ich mir ausgesucht. Just als wir orderten, wurde eine solche auf den Tresen zwecks Abholung gestellt. Wir bekamen jeder einen Piepser mit, der klingeln sollte, wenn unsere Pizza fertig gebacken war. Kaum war ich am Tisch angelangt, klingelte meiner schon. Wieder am Tresen angelangt, erhielt ich „meine“ Pizza. Es war die, die vorhin schon da stand. Es wurden noch ein paar Späne Parmesan darüber gehobelt, weil nach Meinung des Kochs zu wenig drauf sei. Okay, sie war quasi frisch aus dem Ofen und so trug ich sie stolz zu Tische. Geschmacklich war ich etwas enttäuscht. Der Teig hatte keinerlei Eigengeschmack und war kaum aufgegangen. Der Rand war nicht kross und luftig, wie ich das gewohnt war. Unter dem reichlich vorhandenen Rucola suchte ich nach dem Mozzarella, weil ich dessen Geschmack irgendwie vermisste. Da war zwar irgendein Käse darauf gestreut und gebacken worden, aber das recht sparsam. Ich hatte mir da Scheiben von Mozzarella vorgestellt. Na, vielleicht bin ich ja verwöhnt. Meine Begleiter versicherten mir, dass die Pizza so in Ordnung sei. Beim Schneiden der Pizza hatte ich auch so meine Probleme. Entweder war das Messer stumpf, oder die Pizza hatte etwas dagegen, zerteilt zu werden.Für mich war jedenfalls klar, warum so wenige Leute an der Pizza angestanden hatten. Nächstes Mal – falls es ein nächstes Mal gibt – werde ich mich an die Tagliatelle halten."

"I was disappointed by the burger. According to the title picture with tomato and salad on it was a dry roasted meat slice with roasted onions and sauce. Couldn't see it at home after unpacking. Otherwise, we are always happy with the preparation of food."

"The Balkanhof in Duisburg is an absolute top restaurant. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. The staff is extremely friendly. In addition to the normal restaurant business, it is very well suited for family celebrations. In the Balkan restaurant you can eat at any time of the day. You feel like home. In the entrance area there is a salad counter, which is also looking for in other restaurant. The self-tower Mr. Matos welcomes guests personally by walking to the tables of the guests to ask if you are satisfied with everything. Although I have been living near Stuttgart for 6 years as Duisburger, I visit the Balkanhof regularly when I come to the Ruhr area. I'm always excited after all these years."

"Stopped off after passing by and looking through the window at the selection of freshly made sandwiches .Salmon sandiwsh in lovely soft brown bread and execellent coffee, certainly hits the spot after an early flight and trip to Duisburg.Friendly staff and great value for money."

"Just a hammer. this little sweet restaurrant, who calls himself bistro or cafè and bistro, is a true dream. I was in Duisburg-Rheinhausen in August 2011. had starved as always and looked for a good last. had not expected to discover something big in this small part of the city. when they look from outside, everyone thinks it should be a snack shop. but this is not the case directly after the intitt. the bistro (mement after restaurant! is timeless, beautiful, not too warm and very warm. the cook/operator was alone in the bistro received me right after entering. as hospitable you feel an appreciation that I have often missed with big restaurants! the good lady had some culinary cold foods that I got as an appetizer. delicious. I had also ordered a red lens soup to warm up, which I know from my truthahn. but this suppe was different. simply with a removal better than any lens scale I had previously eaten. as a main dish, I ordered to come with a wheat flour prepared as a rice, mixed salad. now where should I start lamb, which was super marinated and tenderly roasted, or the wine greed that was served delicious, the red lens soup. not to forget the dish and everything refined with flavors, without arome or preservatives. later I got a very tasty black tee for free. the bill had really shocked me because such good culinary and lovingly prepared dishes were calculated at fast food prices. the lady said it was too good for such a good quality. it meant ds because of the geographical situation to calculate with these really cheap travels. it would be great if I were in the ruhr area next time to find this restaurant again. "Excellent restaurant with a broad menu on offer. Waiters were brilliant and could not be more helpful. Had Sole fish which was cooked excellently and deboned with skill in front of me by the waiter. House red wine is the one to go for. Salads...were very fresh and tasty. Will definitely eat here again can not recommend high enough well done all!"
