"This is a great coffee shop in Grand Marais and the staff were very nice and helpful in getting me exactly what I wanted, even though it wants on the menu. I really appreciated their earnest effort!!! Its located right in the heart of downtown Grand Marais and they have a great patio for outdoor seating. Currently the inside is closed for seating as is the bathroom."

"My review can be imprecise today, I'm sorry, but years ago we served lake superior lake trout with drawn butter. it was so unforgettable, I always hope to repeat this experience. when I was on the phone, I discovered I chose the wrong day. Does anyone else know if it is still served on this menu and there is a calendar plan for Entree selections? I notice that it depends on the beginning of the day, but I also wondered if someone else shares this memory. I remember the fish and the rolls. both excellent. I cannot find sea trout with drawn butter on any north shore online menu."

"Nice little place. Only enough tables to not be overcrowded. Service was great and the food was very good. Great location too. Enjoy a nice lunch and walk from the dining room at Lake Superior. We had a good experience."

"After eating mostly greasy diner food on the north bank, we stopped because of the amazing salad pictures. Wow. You didn't disappoint. Fish of the day was fresh sea trout, paired with an incredible mustard dressing and humble fresh green salad. The outdoor seats were clean and breezy, the perfect place drinks a pot of tea while we waited for the food to come. There is an automatic 20% freeness added to all orders, so we do not need to type in addition. The staff was great and friendly, and one of the few places where the masks were still worn by the workers in the interior."

"This is an astalgic 1950s dinner and restaurant with a 2-storey very sweet gift shop. the owner was a long-term employee who wanted to continue the history and family tradition of the diner. very friendly staff and informative about the opposite and the upper half island. eating was great and bakery fresh homemade. we have treated ourselves with the "rooms" shops and chocolate chip cookies."
