"Went there at about 14:10 p.m today. Ordered two main meals and drinks and you could have reasonably expected to have the drinks served before the food. Sadly neither occurred and we found out over 45 minutes later that our order had not been passed to the kitchen At least three waiting staff walked by our table and it must have been obvious that our meals had been served Perhaps they could have spent more time actually checking and serving customers rather than engaging in conversation with other customers. Eventually a member if staff came over and tried to blame kitchen staff rather than take reponsibility as they were after all, the waking staff. We were offered fish and chips free of charge but after waiting by then 50 minutes we had no time available and had to go Would not and could not recommend"

"This is a must to visit. surprised around every corner, from furniture, kitchens, garden decorations and soft furniture to the strangest 'muss' things they never knew they needed! Exciting items come every day, big caffe and they can even enjoy an alcoholic drink while they wander around the load."

"The Tickle Toby is an independent pub, which perhaps explains why it is so smart and tidy. The decor is very much in the modern bar style, but it still retains the atmosphere of a traditional pub. Having said that, can I suggest that gents heading for the loo wear sunglasses as it is the brightest toilet I’ve ever seen! It was very quiet when we were in, but we enjoyed pleasant beer and good service and it’s clear that this is one of the best pubs in town."

"Having booked for Sunday lunch, we weren’t disappointed the meal was lovely and plentiful We opted to stay for a while after and the children played in the beer garden. However, the main thing that spoilt the whole visit for us was the amount of people stood in the doorway and just outside the door smoking and swearing. Our children were walking through this every time they entered or exited as we had too and the colourful language they used was something else. Appreciating you cannot choose your clientele I mentioned it to another gentleman who informed me they are locals and two of them stand there all the time!! The sheer amount of cigarette ends outside seemed to confirm this. Certainly off putting for me and not something I wish to subject my family too, so I won’t be returning. A smoking shelter would possibly be a better idea, rather than the main entrance and porch."

"Beautiful atmosphere and eat! the personal was incredibly friendly and accommodating to all ask or change due to food restrictions. the food was good with large portions and the food was delicious. I couldn't come back anymore, it was worth the trip!"

"Lovely vege breakfast and lovely staff who kindly allowed me to order well after breakfast had finished. My bf loved his cheese and bacon pancake and the home made cakes looked delicious. The gallery, as ever, was full of interesting pieces. Well worth a visit and a stroll round the gardens."
