"With a name that suggests it may be an ice cream parlour or perhaps even a fridge freezer specialist, Mr Chilly is in fact a small but nicely formed restaurant. When I say small it does take about 40 covers maximum, but it’s the kitchen which is pretty tiny making it obvious to get anything done these guys run it like a well oiled machine. It also explains why they don’t do home delivery. The said kitchen is on full display, which is great as you can watch them preparing your food if the conversation at your table isn’t up to much. The food here is very good. It offers fresh and straightforward Indian cuisine with some interesting Indian club dishes thrown into the mix too. I went for the chicken liver tikka to start and this is a real favourite of mine. The charred edges give you massive flavour and as you chew the soft inside becomes pate like. They serve it tossed with peppers, onion and tomato, a hearty starter for sure. For me the choice of main had to be the karahi kebab, basically it’s chargrilled minced lamb kebabs which are then chopped up and finished in curry sauce. Really tasty and they even ask if you want it mild, medium or hot. My partner’s paneer tikka roll was equally as good. The paneer tikka is absolutely delicious, soft and spicy with a nice char making it a flavour sensation. It comes on a naan, simply add some salad and a splash of sauce it’s a lovely one plate meal. To share we had the 'turbo ' mogo (cassava), which if you have never tried is well worth it. Fried mogo in a spicy sauce, it’s like they made it to be the perfect beer accompaniment. Speaking of which they don’t sell alcohol here but you can bring your own, making Mr Chilly even more of a bargaintastic night out."

"I booked a table of 9 for our Christmas book club outing. The menu was very reasonably priced. We selected the food choices in advance which made the whole evening go really smoothly. Staff were so helpful friendly. Everyone was delighted with their food, it came out hot the waiter knew exactly who was having what. Drinks were served promptly nothing was too much trouble. Will likely be booking again soon!"

"My boyfriend and I came here on a random evening out and couldn’t have had a lovelier experience. The staff are all so friendly, and the food is very fresh. We were a little apprehensive upon arrival given that the menu looked a little cheap (as it was printed on plain paper and not photocopied straight) however this was totally misleading and no one should be put off by this. The food, atmosphere and staff were all so much more than the outside suggested it might be. We definitely will be back next time we’re in the area."

"Excellent service food came out really fast. Starter mains and desserts was timed very well. The Host kept checking up on us if we needed anything. Tables and chairs very nice and clean. Really nice atmosphere friendly staff specially management Vivek and his team. Ample car park space wheelchair accessibility. Disabled toilet access on ground leve l(ask for key at bar). Remember to type your car registration number correctly at entrance at bar on a small tablet. New cocktails on the menu. New staff and child friendly. Highly recommended."

"When we arrived there was about another people who walked in as well . The entrance was crowed with the xmas tree and another big group being seated just by the door. Personally the venue is not suited to cater for so many people. There is not enough staff to serve either. As our table was not ready we were asked to be seated near the kitchen area. The place has been poorly designed. The t area too was crowded with the waiters going in and out of the kitchen. The service was slow due to all the staff being busy. We waited to order food , drinks for a good mins. After that it took mins for the food to arrive. My husband wanted a masala dosa and was told it would take longer to make! I would not recommend the place or go there again. A table next to us was left uncleared with dirty plates etc, after the diners left for the whole time we were there. with . On the positive side the waiters were very helpful and pleasant and working very hard. We have been to other Sakonis and had better service"

"The food is lovely in this restaurant, but the service is very slow and the seating arrangements are very cramp. The majority of food we ordered took ages to come out, with one member of our group already finishing his food before the rest of us including young children even received their plates. It want even busy!"
